Hello! The first step you are taking in your mental health journey is a big step for change. It takes a lot of strength and courage to start therapy, so know that is a powerful place to be. Many times people often ask, “What is therapy?” I am here to tell you what it looks like with me. I believe that therapy is about collaboration, working together to meet your needs and goals by strengthening your resources to get there. I believe creating a safe environment, where you feel comfortable sharing difficult topics is important. My therapeutic stance incorporates evidence-based practices and a holistic approach by providing individualized treatment to meet each client’s unique needs. I utilize techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered, Art Therapy, and Strength-Based Therapy. My counseling experience has been mostly with adults, children, teens, and families working through anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, life adjustments, and trauma. I am passionate about serving clients and providing them the care they need to have the quality of life they deserve. I look forward to getting to know you and supporting you in this new journey.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Humanistic Studies from Saint Mary’s College. My Master’s degree is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Valparaiso University. I am a Mental Health Counselor Associate (MA, LMHC-A) in the state of Indiana. What I want my clients to know is that “When they can’t see the light, I will sit with them in the dark.” I am looking forward to getting to know you!

I work with adolescents ages 10+ and adults who struggle with a variety of mental health issues - with specialties including anxiety, depression, trauma/stress, substance use, and co-occurring disorders. Throughout my career, many clients who I have worked with were closed off and hesitant to open up. By creating a comforting, supportive, and non-judgemental environment, I was able to break down walls and really work with my clientele to overcome barriers - which is exactly the type of environment I strive to create in my practice. Utilizing evidence based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Strengths-Based Interviewing, I am able to help the client see the positives and strengths in their lives and build upon them.
I perform individual and family therapy, couples therapy, and substance abuse counseling.
